Infoscore, Inc. today announced it is integrating its Paydata.NET, a comprehensive remittance/lockbox processing solution, into the set of Information Technology, Inc. (ITI) core banking . Charlotte, NC, August 03, 2002:
Infoscore (Charlotte, NC) is a software developer and value-added reseller of payment and other back office processing systems. The company developed PayData, a hardware and software solution for entering data, matching receivables, looking up hot or stop files, allocating payments to multiple accounts, and calculating float for funds availability. For six years Infoscore used Panasonic black and white production scanners in its PayData system. During this time, the use of color came to play an increasingly important role in online communications, including automated payment systems, because it increases reader interest in editorial content. With color, scanned documents look exactly like the original, enabling end users to read highlighted sections. Color also has an impact on production, since processor speeds are faster with color images.
Finding a color scanner that could be integrated with PayData was a challenge. Infoscore was satisfied with the performance of its current scanner, Panasonic's KV-S2065W black and white model. As a result, Infoscore approached Panasonic more than a year ago and asked if it had a color scanner that it would be willing to modify for integration with PayData.
Panasonic offered its KV-S2045C scanner for the PayData system, although some adjustments would have to be made for the integration to be successful. When Infoscore asked Panasonic if it could replace the standard white rollers on its scanners with black rollers, the company agreed. Panasonic also modified the image camera in the scanner and lightened the color characteristics in the KV- SS905C to improve images for business applications.
